Leaving Oregon

We are on the road again!     After some last minute motorcycle repairs on the day of departure, we were still thankfully able to leave home after work on May 25th and made the first (and arguably the most important) stop to see our grandbabies!   A little wet going between Woodburn and Independance, and also a bit of a lightening show that evening.

Saturday May 26th, we left Jason and Rebecca's and rode to Grants Pass to visit with Ernie's father, sister, and family.   Saw an eagle in his nest atop an old bridge.  Enjoyed a bar-b-q at Elaine's house.

Sunday, we rode from Grants Pass to Leggett, California, by way of the northern California coast.   We saw a lot of BIG Redwood trees, some believed to be 1500-2400 years old! Highlights were the Newton B Drury Scenic Parkway in the Redwood National Park and The Avenue of Giants in Humbold Redwoods State Park.   We finished the day with the Chandelier Tree (Drive-Thru Tree) in Leggett.
