Sunday was a day of riding and rest. After riding about 250 miles, we arrived in the small, quiet town of DuBois, Wyoming at about 3pm. Both of us had reached a wall of fatigue and were grateful for an afternoon enjoying gentle breezes in a quiet KOA campground.
Check out this sign on the taverns in DuBois. More than one of them had drive up windows!
Today was a glorious day of riding from DuBois to the Tetons. We passed Jackson Lake with beautiful reflections of the mountains.
At Jenny Lake, we took a boat shuttle across the lake, and then hiked for approximately 3 miles, seeing beautiful Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point. Also hiked beyond Inspiration Point through a canyon between the Tetons.
After our hike, we took a slight detour on our trip to Jackson, in order to check out the bison herd near Gros Ventres. Yikes, they were close!
Ended our day in Jackson, where the Lord unexpectedly blessed us with a condo for half the price of most lodging in town. Watched a shoot out in Town Square before retiring for the eveing.
Tomorrow, we're off to Yellowstone!
