We stayed last night in St Mary's KOA, right at the entrance to Glacier National Park. Today we took the "Going to the Sun Road" which is rated one of the top scenic drives in the world. It is very narrow and cuts right into the wall of the mountain as it goes over the pass. Hiked about 5 miles in the park, and witnessed lots of wildlife, including a black bear, deer, marmots, big horn sheep, and mountain goats with their kids.
We left the park at 5:30, and rode into Hot Springs, Montana this evening. Enjoyed a soak in a mineral hot springs, then dinner at a local bar. Advertised as a sports bar, they had a tournament horseshoe pit out back with a big tournament scheduled for tomorrow night. Now we are enjoying the hospitality of Luanne's cousins, John and Diane, in their home in Hot Springs. Tomorrow, we cross Idaho into Washington, then home on Sunday.
