Zion National Park

Arrived in Springdale, Utah on the afternoon of June 2.   After checking in at our lodging, we went straight to Zion National Park.  Enjoyed a Riverside Hike along the Virgin River and another hike to Weeping Wall, a place where the water absorbed in softer rock is forced out when it reaches the layer of shale.
Although it was not originally on our agenda, we agreed that it would be fun to try hiking "The Narrows", a section of the Virgin River known for narrow canyons.   So, today, June 3, we hiked 2.5 miles up the river and then turned around.  Much of the walk was actually in the riverbed.  What a great time that was.

Back on the bike tomorrow.  So far we have put 2063 miles on the bike this trip.
