Route 66

June 4, we left Barstow, California and headed east once more.  Lots more desert.   Went through Needles, California, made famous I believe by Spike, Snoopy's brother!  Stopped in Kingman and Seligman, both small towns on Route 66.    Visited a Route 66 museum in Kingman, and wandered through souvenir shops in Seligman.   Ended our day in Williams, Arizona, one of the gateways to the Grand Canyon.   Another very warm day.   Needles was likely over 100 degrees, although we never got the official temperature.   We drove 333 miles this day, and were on the road from 8:30 in the morning until 5:45 in the afternoon.
